Me playing Icicle Works on Commodore Plus/4 - 1985 This review was requested by some youtube users so I thought I'll do them the favour and do a short video review on Icicle Works. The aim of the game: As Santa you have to collect in each level all christmas gifts which are scattered around on the north pole. Watch the time limit and falling giant snowballs not to hit you! On the next levels polar bears and penguins keep chasing you. As soon as you have collected one gift completely you can skip to the next room by entering a door at the side of the screen. To be fair, this game is not really bad but there are some things that really pisses me off. First of all, the sound! The sound is so annoying it really drives me crazy! Next the game has a very hard gameplay. Man, this game was made for kids! Have mercy! And finally the story: On which planet does this take place? Have you ever heard about penguins living together with polar bears on the same (north) pole? What is next? Maybe Godzilla lives there too? Anyway, for it's time it was a good game. If you like these "Rockman" style games then give Icicle Works a try. Ah yes, you need 64 KB RAM to get this masterpiece fired up.

I bought this Little Tikes School Bus Activity Gym for a 1-year old's birthday. He loved it and "shared" with his 3-year old sister. He has been walking for about a month and already he was able to climb up to the first platform. When my children were growing up, we always had a Jr. Activity Gym in our family room to give our kids an acceptable place to climb. I was very excited to see the new design and activities on this bus! I have to say, I love the unique design of the bus as it allows for much imaginative play! Each wheel spins, while the bus remains stationary. As the wheel spins, it reveals different things, such as numbers and colors. The key comes partially out so the child can pretend to put it in the ignition and drive the bus! The horn beeps and steering wheel turns! Nothing like singing "The Wheels on the Bus" when you have a bus to sit in! Overall, I love the bus, but due to it's size, it will be heading outside for climbing fun! It's a nice size for two tots!
